Program: Back to School Campaign
Theme: “Every Child Deserves Access to Education as a Fundamental Human Right”
Date: Friday, 22nd August 2026
Location: Ndongo Camp Community, Tiko, Southwest Region, Cameroon
Reporting Team: EHC Field Team
1. Introduction
As part of its annual Back to School Campaign, Esther Hope Charity (EHC) conducted a field outreach today, 22nd August 2026, to the community of Ndongo Camp in Tiko. The objective was to support orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) in preparation for the 2026/2027 academic year.
2. Activities Carried Out
The EHC team, comprising one staff member and two volunteers — Mr. Cedric, Mme. Evette Dia, and Miss Laura — visited foster families and interacted with children identified as most in need.
During the visit, more than a dozen OVCs from both Nursery and Primary School levels were supported with essential school materials, including:
- Exercise books
- Drawing and writing books
- Rulers, sharpeners, and erasers
- One packet of HB pencils
- One packet of crayons
The distribution was done in direct execution of our Back to School Campaign, which affirms that education is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right for every child.
- Impact and Observations
The atmosphere was filled with genuine joy and gratitude. The children, alongside their foster parents and guardians, expressed heartfelt appreciation and were visibly overwhelmed with happiness. For many of them, these materials represent not just school supplies, but hope, dignity, and an opportunity to return to school with confidence.
This intervention reinforces EHC’s commitment to partnering with families and communities to secure a brighter future for vulnerable children through education.
- Appreciation
Esther Hope Charity extends its sincere appreciation to our staff, volunteers, and all partners who make this campaign possible. Your support continues to transform lives.
Together, we are ensuring that no child is left behind.
